Dinner on Us: Safe From Harm? Injury Prevention Tips for Children and Families
This week's Dinner on Us features Colleen McGuire, MPM. Ms. McGuire is a program coordinator in the Division of Violence and Injury Prevention at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
Ms. McGuire was also the project manager for the Pittsburgh Children's Museum's Safety Street, a life-sized, hands-on setting where children and their families learned about school bus, pedestrian, motor vehicle and bicycle safety. Ms. McGuire has developed and implemented programs such as the Health Rangers (a middle school student mentoring program) as well as a medical student curriculum in pediatric injury prevention.
Ms. McGuire's current work revolves around issues linked to prevention of transportation-related injuries. Please come join us with your questions, and let's all do our part to keep children safe!
