This 334-hour program is sponsored by the Division of Continuing Education and the Department of Natural Resources Conservation. It qualifies graduates for seasonal law enforcement positions in environmental agencies such as national, state, and local parks.

The program begins in September and runs through March meeting on Saturdays and Sundays, plush Monday through Saturday during the first 3 weeks of January and during the University spring break. Six undergraduate credits are available during spring semester.

New hired National Park Service permanent enforcement officers typically have a minimum of a bachelor's degree, with a 24-semester-hour concentration in natural or cultural sciences. Anyone applying for a federal law enforcement position must be 21 years of age.
