Research Liaison & Development
|
Commercial Ventures and Intellectual Property (CVIP)CVIP has the responsibility to commercialize university technology, doing so primarily through license agreements with for-profit companies. These companies make and sell products that incorporate university technology. CVIP determines licensing strategies, drafts agreements with input from the university's Office of General Counsel, and conducts negotiations leading to final agreements. Other routes may include the formation of new companies.
Meet UMass Amherst CVIP Director, Nick DeCristofaro.
