Community Breakfast set for Aug. 28

Community and academic leaders, including Chancellor Robert C. Holub, will kick off a new school year at the 42nd Annual Community Breakfast on Thursday, Aug. 28 from 7:30-9 a.m. at Franklin Dining Commons.

Jointly sponsored by the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce, the event is an opportunity to socialize with friends, neighbors and colleagues, meet newcomers to the business and academic communities, and hear about what’s in store for the year ahead.

All are welcome to attend. Guests include area business owners, legislators, mayors, selectboard representatives, members of the academic communities and retirees who like to stay in touch with friends and former colleagues.

Tickets are $6 at the door. Reservations are requested to 577-1101 or community@admin.umass.edu.

Parking is available in Lot 62 and carpooling is suggested.

Sign language interpretation and live captioning on screen will be provided.
