STA Travel closes Campus Center location
STA Travel has closed its retail store in the Campus Center along with 48 other retails locations owned by the company.
Faculty, staff and students who purchased travel services through STA Travel can track their reservations through its call center, 800-781-4040 or on its Web site at www.statravel.com.
Meredith Schmidt, director of the Campus Center, said the University will try to find another travel agency to be a retail tenant, since the campus has had a travel agency on site for more than a decade. However, with travel arrangements being done to a much greater extent online today, Schmidt said she is unsure how much interest will exist. If a travel firm cannot be recruited, another retail tenant will be sought for the space.
