Raed Andoni's beautifully crafted documentary showcases the Palestinian musical group Trio Joubran (oud-playing brothers Sami, Wissam, and Adnan Joubran) who are pioneers of improvisation with this soul-stirring instrument. The feature is preceded by shorts by youth from the Contrast Project, Palestine, a human rights advocacy group.

Doom Jazz featuring Bobby Previte and Jamie Saft

| In one sense a piano trio, with Previte on drums and Saft doubling on piano and electric bass, this project borrows from heavy metal sensibilities.
Focusing on the lives of three young Iraqis struggling to survive during wartime, Hometown Baghdad is part of an Iraqi online web series about the lives of young people in Baghdad. Their lives are shown through videos, news, blogs, and various informational forums with the goal of promoting a global youth dialogue.
