In this docu-poetic drama, Kamel, played by writer/director Ameur-Zaimeche returns to Algeria, his country of origin, after being deported from France; the perpetual outsider finds a soul-mate in an aspiring jazz singer Louisa. From the touring "Beur is Beautiful" program, distributed by ArteEast and curated by Carrie Tarr.
