Chapter History

The Delta Delta chapter of Tau Beta Sigma was chartered on May 16th, 1969 along with our brothers, the Epsilon Nu Chapter of KKpsi by John Jenkins. Since then, the sisters have put through a total of 74 membership classes and have done thousands of projects to support the bands program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Currently, the sisters of Delta Delta serve the Marching Band, Concert Band, Symphony Band, Wind Ensemble, Chapel Jazz Ensemble, Jazz I Ensemble, Jazz Lab Ensemble, Orchestra, Hoop Band, and the music department. A Letter from our Historian

To my Delta Deltas from your Historian,

I am extremely excited for myrun as History chair. I think there's a lot that can be done with this office. I do have some goals for the semester:

1) Get more digital. Scrapbooking is great, and we will continue to make pages for scrapbooks, but the trunk is also getting heavy, and sometimes powerpoints can be just as effective.
2) Have a history game night with a brand new type of game.
3) Have a picture night. At this time, we will bring all of our chpater pictures togther to scrapbook and scan onto disks.
4) Create a great experience for the 40th anniversary by providing pictures from many years gone by in our chapter.
5) Create a fabulous display for districts!

That being said, we obviously have plenty top work on, and I want us to be more involved and excited about our past. This is especially true because many sisters that have shaped this chapter will be coming back to visit us. We're all part of Delta Delta history.

Much LITB,
Jackie Ziegenfus
